There are 15 rounds/weeks in the Seniors 2017/18 Season. The SENIOR dates are:
- 14 Oct – 16 Dec 2017 [10 weeks]
- 20 Jan 2018 [1 week]
- 3 Feb – 24 Feb 2018 [4 weeks]
- Semi Finals – 3 March 2018
- Long Weekend 10 March 2018
- Preliminary Finals 17 March 2018
- Grand Finals 24 March 2018.
HTA Rules of Match and Play 2017-18
FORMAT CHANGES FOR SEASON 2017-18
- Div 1 Women will now align with Div 1 Men and play best of 3 sets singles
- Div 2 women will now align with Div 2 Men and play a 9 game single
- Doubles – Div 1 remains the same; Div 2 and beyond now 4 player teams with neutral gender. Number of sets played, number of courts allocated, timeslots all yet to be determined.
- Midweek slight format change: 1&2, 3&4 play 2 sets, 1&3, 2&4 play 1 set, 1&4, 2&3 play 1 set.
- Traditional matches – super-tiebreakers will now NOT count as a set – but instead will count as one game only. Helps to address over-weighting of doubles in determining match winners.
